For those of you who frequent our Facebook page, you may have noticed the wonderful badge recently posted on our wall that identifies us as a proud member of the Central Lakeview Merchant Association. You may be wondering what CLMA is exactly , and why  Broughton Hotels is a proud member?

CLMA is an association of the various businesses in Central Lakeview. According to the CLMA website  “Central Lakeview Merchants Association’s (CLMA) primary goals are to stimulate the neighborhood’s economic growth, enhance its natural beauty, and promote it as a world-class tourist destination.”

It’s easy to see why we’re proud to be a member of CLMA. Central Lakeview, which is colloquially known as Wrigleyville, is a thriving business community, and CLMA is an essential part of developing the businesses in the area and making Lakeview a key part of the Windy City.

CLMA helps keep Central Lakeview the prosperous area that it is. They help provide resources to the various businesses that inhabit the area. If you have never been here, we strongly encourage you to come down to Wrigleyville and see what all the excitement is about. Central Lakeview definitely has something for everyone. Thanks for helping keep Central Lakeview Great CLMA

We recently put up a video on our YouTube channel featuring two of our most loyal guests describing their experiences staying with Broughton. The two personable Englishmen, Stewart and Graham, have come to visit Chicago and stayed in Broughton hotels 13 times.

They both commented on how much they enjoyed the city and had great things to say about their experience at Broughton Hotels. Stewart really appreciated that the staff treats you like a family member, describing the hotel as “very very friendly”. Graham liked the location near Wrigley field, because of his love of baseball.

While the description of their visits to Chicago ranged from their love of the baseball games to the fact that the city has many attractions to offer to the great location, they specifically spoke of Taste of Chicago and Millennium park, a major theme of their chat was their love for the people of Chicago, “The people here just can’t do enough for you” said Graham.

Thank you for staying with us for your past 13 visits Stewart and Graham, We look forward to helping you experience Chicago for years to come.

The Fourth of July is right around the corner, and although it is usually characterized by fireworks, overeating, parades and family get-togethers, it’s important to remember what the holiday is really about.

On Independence day we are celebrating the birth of our nation, the anniversary of the creation of the land of the free and the home of the brave!

In honor of the greatest country in the world, we here at Broughton Hotels of Chicago have decided to do our best to help support those who defend it.

Though it’s a small gesture, we believe that sending letters to the troops telling them how much we appreciate and support them can make a big difference. So give our young men and women overseas some love from home. Now through July 8th  we are collecting letters, cards and pictures to send to our troops.

On our Facebook page you can see an album of people who have already sent their messages! For more information on where to send your mail, check out the Help Support Our Troops tab.
